Summary: Responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. All work will be completed in compliance with Hydro safety policies, EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Job Responsibilities:
Follows applicable Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions
Understands and follows all safety policies
Able to work set schedule for full 12hour shift
Work in both hot and cold conditions
Maintain proper Personnel Protective Equipment
Attends training sessions as required
Job Requirements:
A basic understanding of safety principles
Ability to recognize risks & hazards
General understanding of quality standards
Basic computer application skills
Ability to read a tape measure
Basic mathematical skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
Employee is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operating machines such as drill presses and power saws where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach; performing mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as mechanics, technicians, plumbers, painters, etc
Education and Work Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
1-2 years of general maintenance experience is preferred
Will work Night Shift B (wk 1: M-T-F-S, wk 2: Sun-W-TH)
