seeks applicants for our Associate Director of Community Health and Clinical Partnerships (CHCP). This position engages with Notre Dame's multi-disciplinary researchers and community partners regarding opportunities in the health and well-being space. The Associate Director will represent the University of Notre Dame throughout the region and state including a focus on partners.
This position often serves as a project manager, supporting proposal submissions with external partners who have the role of a Co-PI or sub-grantee, regional projects, and developing and cultivating substantive connections between the University and the region.

Responsibilities for this position will include:
  • Project manage proposal submissions and regional projects for new ideas with external partners who are Co-PIs, subgrantees, or collaborators. Direct project assignments, timelines, and milestones to ensure deliverables are met for grant-funded work. Work in partnership with ND Research colleagues to ensure processes are completed.
  • Direct Emerging Opportunities in Health seed funding () to grow opportunities for campus/community collaborations in the health space. This includes proactively communicating about the funding opportunity, leading a committee that reviews proposals and budget requests, finding additional resources for growth, and developing a report for funders.
  • Develop and maintain a network of potential collaborators, including organizations, researchers, physicians, etc. This includes developing administrative tools and oversight to track logistical aspects including project records and the ability to monitor engagement. This tool will be used to track substantive connections between the University and region in the Health and Well-being space and will be used to grow connections, identify new opportunities, and for reporting purposes.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their priorities and devise plans to ensure the sustainability of those relationships. This includes proactively learning their work and priorities, and participating in meetings and on project teams. The Associate Director will regularly serve as a convenor to connect external partners and campus individuals and manage the collaborative work.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree or advanced certification beyond Bachelor's
  • 5 to 6 years of relevant work experience
Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with a diverse audience.
  • Ability to interface effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and on a variety of projects.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the community landscape, Notre Dame Research, University systems, offices, processes, policies, and procedures is preferred.
