Research Specialist (limited term)

The University of Notre Dame () is accepting applications for a Research Specialist (limited term).

Applications will be accepted until 03/18/2024.

The Research Specialist will work collaboratively with other members of the Clark lab topursue research projects that advance our understanding of protein folding mechanisms in cells, with aparticular focus on designing, constructing and testing novel high-throughput assays.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum B.S. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field, and an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) or 5+ years of experience in related areas.

Skills Required:
  • Expertise in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Experiment design, Library preparation, and Dataanalysis. Expertise with PCR (Traditional, Multiplex, and Real Time), RNAseq, Agarose and PolyacrylamideGel Electrophoresis, Cloning, Bacterial Cell Culture, DNA and RNA Extraction, Protein Expression
  • Purification, Western Blots, and Protocol Development. Familiarity with fundamental biophysical concepts.
