Associate Program Director- ACE Teaching Fellows Recruiting

The University of Notre Dame () is accepting applications for a Associate Program Director- ACE Teaching Fellows Recruiting.

Applications will be accepted until 03/19/2024.

The Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Associate Program Director for Teacher Recruitment focuses on the recruitment of prospective ACE Teaching Fellows teachers to ensure the enrollment of the most talented, mission-aligned, and service-oriented cohort possible. This position reports to the Associate Director of Recruitment Operations.

1. Recruit for ACE Teaching Fellows, the University of Notre Dame's graduate M.Ed. program.
  • Manage a recruitment portfolio of 15 - 20 universities, including the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College, & Holy Cross College.
    • Cultivate relationships with undergraduate students and young professionals who have the demonstrated potential to serve as Catholic school teachers through ACE Teaching Fellows.
    • Build a network of campus partners and relevant postgraduate employers who can help identify, nominate, and encourage prospective applicants to apply.
    • Travel 5 - 7 weeks per semester to represent ACE Teaching Fellows at various universities, fairs, conferences, etc.
  • Present information and serve as a representative of ACE Teaching Fellows at virtual webinars, on-campus, and off-campus events.
    • Effectively communicate the value of ACE Teaching Fellows, the University of Notre Dame, and ACE's undergraduate programs to a diverse population of prospective students based on students' individual backgrounds, interests, and needs.
  • Support the development of programming the promotes the formation of ACE Ambassadors & Interns.
    • Attend monthly programming to convene the respective groups regularly to improve progress towards recruitment goals and formation goals.
    • Check-in with assigned ambassadors and interns on at least a monthly basis.
  • Utilize Slate CRM and other related technologies to track communication with applicants, summarize meetings, plan and host events, and send targeted email and text messages.
    • Ensure prospective students have the information they need at every stage of the admissions process from inquiry through application

2. Support application review, admissions, and yield efforts
  • Accompany applicants through the application process, fielding questions as they arise via one-on-one correspondence, conducting in-person and online information sessions, and assisting with campus events & visits
  • Evaluate file applications & participate in interviews, recommending acceptance based upon established admission criteria and holistic review
  • Support the Selection & Placement process of ACE Teaching Fellows, as well as other undergraduate programs affiliated with the Alliance for Catholic Education (i.e. Frassati Internship, PATH Summer Teaching Internship, etc.).
    • Supports the Undergraduate Engagement & Graduate-M.Ed. Enrollment Manager to ensure compliance with the application policies and processes, as well as dissemination of notification decisions in a timely manner.
    • Manage activities oriented to yield admitted candidates

3 Program Administration
  • Support designated programming efforts related to the ACE Summer session, in particular event (including liturgical events) planning and facilitation
  • Support the administrative dimensions of ACE Teaching Fellows as needs arise
  • The Associate Program Director for Teacher Recruitment also undertakes other duties as assigned by the Director of the Institute for Educational Initiatives, the Executive Director of ACE, and the Undergraduate Engagement & Graduate-M.Ed. Enrollment Manager.



Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2 years Experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and facility communicating with prospective applicants
  • Classroom teaching experience is not required, but extremely valuable, preferably in a Catholic school.
  • Master's degree preferred
