The University of Notre Dame () is accepting applications for a In-Room Dining Server, Morris Inn (Full Time).

The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of In-Room Dining Server within the department of Morris Inn. The UEE division leads the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.

Why this position?
This position is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service to our F&B patrons, including hotel guests, to-go orders, special events, Rohr's Wind Family Terrace.  These include but are not limited to food running, bussing of tables, food service and anticipation, recognition, and responsiveness to the needs of others while following global service standards. All job duties related to this position are expected to be completed in accordance with the UEE Hospitality Standards. The In-Room Dining Server will ensure all condiments, dishes, and silverware are available, open bottles of wine for guests, and when necessary, make additional trips to support service. Other job duties include; lifting and carrying food and beverage trays for service, bussing tables, and removing service items from guest rooms, hotel hallways, meeting/banquet rooms, hotel lobby, terrace, etc. You may also be asked to replenishing water and condiments, carrying trays, clearing tables of dishes, glassware and silver, moving dishes to the dishwashing area for cleaning, and resetting tables with the appropriate items.

Minimum Qualifications:
1 year of related work experience


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a similar position, in an upscale hospitality organization is preferred, including:
  • Food, liquor and wine
  • Room Service operations
  • Guest service
  • Ability to obtain, and retain any government required licenses, certificates, or permits applicable to the position including:
  • Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages in Hotel rooms
  • Indiana Alcohol Beverage permit
