As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University's Ancilla College seeks a Visit Coordinator to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by ensuring exceptional service for visiting undergraduate prospective students and families as they consider the university. Marian University's Ancilla College is seeking a degreed professional to coordinate and oversee all components of the campus guest program. In addition, the visit coordinator is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission and the Director of Undergraduate Admission in supervising student personnel in office duties and guided tours of campus. The Visit Coordinator needs to be professional, prompt and personable to visitors, students, parents, school officials and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
  • Manages and schedules the visits of prospective undergraduate students and their guests to campus with faculty, staff, and recruiting partners.
  • Serves as the primary greeter for visiting students and families, creating a welcoming environment conducive to a college admission setting.
  • Assists with the hiring, training of the Marian Ambassadors.
  • Creates a system for informing admission counselors of pending/scheduled visits, related details, etc.
  • Regularly advises supervisor of opportunities for campus guest program improvement.
  • Support the Director and Assistant Director of Admission with event preparation.
  • Schedules university department update meetings for the office.
  • Meets department productivity standardsand performs duties as workload necessitates.
  • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of offerings and commitment to the mission of Marian University's Ancilla College.
  • Excellent customer service, presentation, verbal/written communication and organization skills.
  • The ability to interact effectively with students, parents, faculty, staff and external constituents.
  • A high level of energy, self-motivative and results-oriented.
  • The ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
  • A high degree of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Understanding of and belief in the Marian University vision, mission and guiding principles.
  • Ability to work well with individuals with diverse backgrounds.
  • Prior admission experience with high school and young adults preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend engagements.
  • Demonstrated skills and belief in facilitative, participative management, and shared decision-making including integrity, honesty, and sensitivity.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Possesses an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • A valid driver's license without restriction.
