We are a professional services firm that provides third-party retirement plan administration services for companies that sponsor Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP) and 401(k) Plans. We have offices in Charlottesville, VA, Columbia, MD, Pasadena, CA, Columbus, OH, Westchester, IL and Maple Grove, MN although our client base is nationwide. We are the leading ESOP recordkeeping and administration services firm in the country, and we are rapidly growing our 401(k) and defined benefit retirement plan business. We are seeking sharp, detail-oriented, dedicated individuals to join our team.
 
We are hiring Senior 401(K) Administrator
Summary
Senior 401(k) Administrators are responsible for all aspects of retirement plan administration for an assigned group of retirement plans.   
 
Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  1. Manage all aspects of administration for an assigned block of plans.
  2. Consult with plan sponsors and advisors regarding plan related matters
  3. Ability to read and interpret plan documents
  4. Calculate employer contributions (including cross-tested contributions)
  5. Perform all annual compliance testing 
  6. Calculate and process refunds (including 415 refunds)
  7. Complete Form 5500, Form 5500-SFs, and Form 5330.
  8. Assist clients with the correction of operational issues
Other Duties 
  1. Perform other duties as assigned. 
Required Qualifications 
  1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. 5+ years of A-Z administration is required
  3. Experience working “unbundled” with national daily recordkeeping platforms is required
  4. Experience with ASC, Relius, Datair, or FT Williams is required.
  5. Experience with Pension Pro is a plus, but not required   
  6. ESOP/KSOP knowledge is desirable but not required
  7. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn new software quickly    
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  9. Self-starter, details oriented, motivated
  10. Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem solving skills.
  11. QKA professional designation is desired or willingness to obtain
Supervisory Responsibility 
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 
 
Work Environment 
This job operates in a clerical office setting.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.  The office environment and job duties include work conducted via in-person face-to-face meetings, videoconferencing, telephone, and other interactions on the computer. 
 
Physical Demands 
This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets.  This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
 
Travel 
Travel may be required for this position.
